For more than 27 years, 4CONTROL Media has been a pioneering force in the realm of digital communications and media, bringing unique and innovative stories to the front and center. As an independent, black-owned enterprise, we are committed to crafting narratives that resonate, ignite change, and celebrate diversity.
Founded in 1995 in The Bronx, NY by internet trailblazers Felicia Palmer and Steven Samuel, 4CONTROL Media was born out of a vision to define a worldwide digital media landscape that empowered and connected black communities with Hip-Hop culture at the center. With an unwavering dedication to authenticity and representation, we set out to transform the way stories are told.
Our journey has been marked by accolades and recognition by The NY Times, CNN, Wired Magazine, ESSENCE, and Black Enterprise.
Our Undeniable Legacy

Tapped Into The Pulse of Youth Culture
We specialize in media that speaks directly to vibrant 18-25-year-old music enthusiasts. Our pulse on youth culture drives us to create content, engagements, and experiences that transcend screens, fostering direct connections and sparking conversations that matter.
Our Brands Capture The Culture
SOHH was founded in 1995 and continues to trailblaze as the longest-running, independent, black-owned brand for hip-hop news, lifestyle and culture.
We aren’t just a company; we are champions of potential.
